The snowshoe, hiking and seal skin trail with views of the Dolomites and the imposing Marmolada glacier

This route is an exciting panoramic trail and is reserved for snowshoers and walkers with crampons; it starts at an altitude of 2000 metres, near the Cermis resort, and will take you up to the Paion peak at 2230 metres. With a length of 1300 metres and an altitude difference of 210 metres, it can be walked both uphill and downhill and is suitable for adults and children who are used to walking.

During the hike, you will enjoy spectacular views of the majestic Dolomites and immerse yourself in the enchanting Lagorai stone pine forest.

EVERY SUNDAY SNOWSHOE HIKE WITH AN ALPINE GUIDE

Every Sunday, from December to the end of March, you can participate in a snowshoe hike in the company of our trusted mountain guide, Giancarlo. He will be your point of reference during the route with snowshoes on your feet. This is an unmissable opportunity to take in the infinite variations and nuances of an incredible landscape, immersing yourself in the enchantment of a forest that offers well-being. Rates and Practical Details

Alpe Cermis offers you this experience, with the only cost being the return ticket:

Adults: €21

Children: €15

In addition, it is possible to rent snowshoes in Cavalese at a cost of  €10 for snowshoes and poles (this price is reserved for participants of the guided hike).

Day programme:

9.30 a.m.: Meeting at Cavalese station (! No Fondovalle station) with the mountain guide. Check of suitable clothing and availability of necessary equipment.

10 a.m.: Departure for quota 2000, from where the snowshoe hike will begin.

11.30 a.m.-12 p.m.: Arrival at the Paion refuge (2230 m), continuation towards Lo Chalet.

Enjoy the view, breathe in the fresh mountain air and savour the local culinary delights to recharge your batteries after the hike. At the top, you will find two refuges where you can enjoy hot dishes.

You will return in the afternoon, together with your guide. If you wish, you can also return on your own, either by following the downhill route or by taking the chairlift and then the cable car directly back down to the valley.
