With the cable car, the slopes are not frightening, neither on a bike nor with a pushchair! We load the pushchairs or bicycles into the cable car and easily reach the wide pastures of the verdant Salanzada basin, and discover the noisy charm of the imposing Cavalese Waterfall.

The path through the forest down to Salanzada is unpaved but comfortable (a country buggy is preferable in any case), cool and shady even on the hottest days. After about 3 km, there is the Salanzada clearing: a bucolic glimpse where the ringing of grazing cows accompanies the comings and goings of travellers and bikers. From here the route is a gentle descent towards the marvellous Cavalese waterfall. A roar of splashes, jumps and icy waters peeping out of the lush surrounding vegetation. It will be the convenient Fiemme cycle path, an asphalted route, that will take you back to the starting point.

Directions to follow:

Take the Cermis cable car from Cavalese up to the middle station (Dos dei Laresi). To the right of the hut and the playground, take the flat dirt road signposted ‘Salanzada’.

At the agritourism take the dirt road on the left towards “Cascata”. After 100 metres turn right onto the road that descends into the pasture (green and blue mountain bike route signs).

Go as far as the hut, turn right and follow the mountain bike route signs located near the forest). Descend along the road, keeping to the left, cross the bridge over the Rio Valmoena and arrive near the monumental tree “Il Pezo del Gazolin”.

Continuing on, you come out to a clearing on the left (used as a barbecue area) and continue to join a forest road that descends to the waterfall. After the hamlet, turn right and walk along the cycle track until you reach the bottom station of the gondola lift
