This ferrata also offers you the chance to admire the crystal-clear, turquoise-hued Bombasel Lakes. If you have never seen these natural wonders, you must do so at least once in your life!

When you reach the Paion del Cermis peak at 2,230m by ski lift, you will immediately find a panel with all the information about the ferrata and the route to follow to reach the starting point.
Follow the wide path L03/353 to the Bombasel Lakes 2,268m (approx. 40 min) and reach the beautiful emerald green lake. At this point, you will reach the Forcella del Macaco (2278m) and you will find signs for the start of the Cermiskyline ferrata: the Vertigo. Here, the CermiSkyline via ferrata climbs up the vertical crags of the north-east ridge towards the summit of Castel di Bombasel at 2,535m.
On reaching the summit cross, the descent is along the Highway, the equipped route on the north-west ridge to the Standing Stone, then along trail L04 back to the starting point at the Bombasel lakes.
Return to the Paion del Cermis peak along the same path L03/353 as the outward journey.
Ferrata with short passages of medium difficulty. It is important to be cautious on both routes and it is necessary to wear a helmet, harness and via ferrata kit.
An anorak, water and a snack to recharge your batteries should not be missing from your rucksack. At the Bombasel Lakes there is no refuge. At the end of the route, you can stop at the Lo Chalet refuge or the Paion del Cermis refuge.
At the Paion refuge, you can rent your own ferrata kit for €10. They will ask you for a €50 deposit, which will be returned to you once you return the kit.
From mid-June to mid-September, it is possible to experience Cermiskyline accompanied by a mountain guide. This activity is by reservation only, and allows even those who have never tried a ferrata to reach the summit in total safety, learning to use carabiners in the correct way and always under the watchful eye of the guide, who will also explain the mountains and nature around you.
