Children come first in CermisLandia!
Easily reached via cable car, the magical kingdom of Cermislandia is a fun-filled play area allowing children to amuse themselves in the open air and to spend whole days in complete freedom. The pond with its mill, the wigwam, the swings and sand pit ... games that are simple but genuine and healthy, in touch with nature! Mum and dad can have a peaceful time, too, relaxing in the big sunny garden of the Rifugio Dosso Larici.
ACTIVITIES SCHEDULE
The activities are held on Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays in the months of July, August and September.

Wednesday NEW 2011 "COOKS IN THE MOUNTAINS"
Thursday "A DAY AS A FORESTER"
"’NATURING’ ON CERMIS"
Free time in a thousand different colours
From Cermis at 2000 m take the Nature Path leading up to Cima Paion at 2250 m
Let’s learn to look at and recognize flowers, trees, but also the past of the mountains all around us. Nature’s history repeats itself every year and from this cycle are born thousands of legends, like the one you’ll be told at the top of Cermis.
An expert will be on hand to help you get to know high-mountain nature using interesting tables, games and riddles. Once at the peak, there’s the added treat of being able to pat and feed the animals on the “Jjja Jaa Hoo” farm, before heading off to discover the mountains from the Panoramio-Lagorai 360°, a viewing spot allowing visitors to take in and recognize the peaks all around Alpe Cermis.
So what does “naturing” mean? It means living nature to the full, loving it, respecting it and above all realising that we are all a part of it …
"COOKS IN THE MOUNTAINS!"
NEW FOR 2011 – A workshop for budding chefs
Eggs, bread, Speck, parsley … these are just some of the ingredients of one of our region’s most typical dishes … have you guessed which? Well, never mind, just be sure and book your place at the new Wednesday workshop in Cermis: Cooks … in the mountains!
Once we’ve reached the Rifugio Eurotel by cable car, we get ready for the cookery lesson: aprons on, recipe books open and hands into the dough as we learn to make traditional TRENTINO CANEDERLI! We hope you’re all good cooks and are handy at mixing those ingredients, because your lunch will be based on delicious canederli with melted butter, made by you!!!
"A DAY AS A FORESTER"
NEW FOR 2011: Let’s build the foresters’ village
A whole day in the fresh air of the forest giving everyone the chance to become a little
forester. Let’s build, play, learn the tasks of past and present. Under the supervision of expert staff, the little foresters will learn all about life and work as they once were: let’s build a real forester's mountain hut, let’s eat a traditional forester’s lunch of polenta and sausage, let’s work side by side as if we were members of a little mountain community.
Our work isn’t over yet: which team is going to win the cableway contest? The foresters will have to use a real cableway to transport the timber and then send the trunks down the "cava delle bore” log road to the valley floor, as our grandparents did in times past! Now that the timber is ready, all that’s left for us to do is to work it as would be done in a real water-powered sawmill and raise a paling fence to protect the vegetable plot from the wild animals of the woods .... your help is needed if we’re going to build the “Foresters’ Village” … we’re waiting for you!!!
"THE JUNIOR WOODCHUCKS OF CERMIS"
Tracking the animals
Walk slowly and quietly when you’re in the woods. Careful! Lots of little hidden eyes are on you… They belong to the animals living in the forest in Cermis, shy and hard to see.
The real “keeper of the woods” of Cermis will accompany you along the “Adventure Trail”. Together with your friends and parents you can discover all the surprises that this forest, which has been here for hundreds of years, has in store for you… tall trees and large and small inhabitants that you’ll learn to get to know and respect, and who might even become your friends. You’ll find their traces: tracks, little bundles of fur, the den where they slept, the food they ate and… a “fragrant” surprise they’ve left us!
And what better than a simple picnic all together, stretched out comfortably on the grass and listening to the sounds of the woods? Here your guide will use a fun game to help you discover the many secrets of the forest animals … and if you pay attention, you might turn “by magic” into a real “Cermis Junior Woodchuck”!
