Hikes can be taken from July to September, every Tuesday. Remember to use gear suited to walking down mountain paths, complete with ankle boots and pocket raincoat.

In a quiet hollow under the picturesque outline of Castel di Bombasel, surrounded by a succession of meadows dotted with bushes and boulders, we glimpse the lakes of Bombasel, with their pale emerald green reflections…
Meeting place: Cavalese at 9:30 a.m. – Valley floor station at 9:40 a.m.
Departure: 9:45
Travel time: 3-4 hours – difficulty: MEDIUM/EASY
Paion del Cermis (2,230 m) is reached with the ski-lifts – Path no. 3 is taken to Forcella di Bombasel, followed by path no. 4 leading to Cimon del To della Trappola (2,401 m), where a marvellous view can be enjoyed. Continuing on for Cresta del Castel di Bombasel, we reach the altitude of 2,395 m, and then descend to the Bombasel Lakes (2,268 m). The return trip to Paion del Cermis is made after the lunch break, following path no. 3 – 353 of Forcella di Bombasel.

LAGORAI LAKES
After the climb up the valley any tiredness disappears when the lakes of Lagorai come suddenly into view. Their light blue-aquamarine colouring remind us of the purity of their waters, blending with the wonderful views all round, and the harmony and irresistible fascination of nature…
Travel time: 4-5 hours – difficulty: MEDIUM
Paion del Cermis (2,230 m) is reached with the ski-lifts – Path no. 3 is taken to Bombasel Lake (2,268 m) – Following a short stop, we take path no. 6 to the fork, trail mark no. 316, to then arrive at the Lagorai lakes (2.270 m). The return trip is made along the same route as the outward journey, up to Paion del Cermis (2,230 m). Return with the ski-lifts.
LAGORAI LAKE
From the top of a ridge we can see the long shape of spectacular Lake Lagorai stretching out in the distance, with its magical deep blue hues the colour of sapphire.
Its size and depth mark it out as the most beautiful and important lake in the Lagorai mountain chain. A heaven on earth where the slow chiming of the cowbells mingles with the quiet of gentle wavelets on the shore.
Travel time: 5-6 hours – difficulty: MEDIUM
Paion del Cermis (2,230 m) is reached with the ski-lifts - Path no. 3 is taken to Bombasel Lake (2,268 m). From here we take path no. 6, descending a grassy hillside to Lagorai Lake (1,871 m). Following a short stop for a sack lunch and to visit Malga Lagorai, we go down the old WWI military road up to the branch, trail mark no. 6, going to Doss dei Laresi (1,280 m).
